    From Zao Onsen, head southeast on Route 286. Follow the signs for Sendai. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will reach the intersection with Route 457. Turn right onto Route 457, and continue for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for Akiu Shrine. The shrine is located at Shimizukubokita-22 Akiumachi Nagafukuro, Taihaku Ward, Sendai. There is parking available at the shrine.
