From Sendai Station, take either the Miyagi Kotsu Bus or the Takeya Kotsu Bus bound for Akiu Onsen. The Miyagi Kotsu Bus departs from bus stop No. 8 and takes approximately 50 minutes to reach Akiu Sato Center, costing ¥940. The Takeya Kotsu Bus (Seibu Liner) departs from bus stop No. 63 and takes about 40 minutes to Akiu Sato Center, costing ¥900. From Akiu Sato Center, transfer to a local bus bound for Akiu Traditional Craft Village or take a 20-minute walk. Bus schedules vary, so check in advance.

From Sendai Station, a taxi to Akiu Traditional Craft Village takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is between ¥6,000 and ¥8,000. Taxis are readily available at the station's taxi stands.

From Sendai, take National Route 48 and then Prefectural Road 132 towards Akiu. The drive takes about 30 minutes from downtown Sendai. Parking is available at Akiu Traditional Craft Village. Toll: No tolls are expected. Parking: Free parking is available for approximately 100 cars.
