Car
From Zao Onsen, head south on Route 457 toward Sendai. Continue on Route 457 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 48. Turn left onto Route 48 and follow the signs toward Akiumachi Yumoto. After about 5 kilometers, keep an eye out for Yakushi-99; the temple will be on your left. There is parking available near the temple, but be aware that it may be limited during peak tourist seasons.

From Zao Onsen, take the Zao Onsen bus to the Zao Onsen Station. Here, you will transfer to a bus bound for Sendai. The bus ride to Sendai takes approximately 50 minutes.
