    If you're driving from Zao Onsen, head south on Route 457. Follow the signs towards Sendai for approximately 30 minutes. You will pass through the scenic Zao area. Continue on Route 457 until you reach the intersection with Route 48. Turn left onto Route 48 and follow it for about 15 minutes. You will see signs for Osaki Hachiman Shrine as you approach the area. Once you reach the shrine, there is parking available nearby.

    To reach Osaki Hachiman Shrine via public transportation, first take a bus from Zao Onsen to Yamagata Station. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and costs approximately 600 yen. At Yamagata Station, transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet train) bound for Sendai. The train ride takes about 45 minutes and costs around 4000 yen. Once you arrive at Sendai Station, take the subway to Hachiman Station (approximately 10 minutes). From Hachiman Station, it is a 10-minute walk to the shrine.
