Getting There

    From Zao Onsen, start by driving south on Route 457. Follow the signs for Sendai. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will reach the city limits of Sendai. Continue on Route 457 and merge onto Route 48 towards Aoba Ward. After about 15 minutes, take the exit towards Sendai Castle. Follow the signs to Ni no maru, which will be located in Aoba Ward.     From Zao Onsen, walk to the Zao Onsen bus stop and take the bus to Yamagata Station. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 600 yen. Once you arrive at Sendai Station, exit and take the Loople Sendai bus (Tourist Loop Bus) towards Sendai Castle. The bus fare is about 260 yen, and the ride will take approximately 20 minutes.
