To reach Sendai City Sendai Castle experience Museum (Kenbunkan) from Zao Onsen by car, start by getting onto Route 457. Follow Route 457 south until you reach the junction with Route 4. Merge onto Route 4 and continue traveling towards Sendai. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Aoba-ku/Sendai City Center. Follow the signs to Kawauchi and continue for about 5 km until you reach 1-11 Kawauchi, Aoba Ward. The museum will be on your left. Free parking is available near the museum.

Public Transportation
Begin your journey by taking the Zao Onsen bus to Shiroishi Station. The bus runs approximately every 30 minutes and costs around 1,000 yen. From Shiroishi Station, board the JR Tohoku Line towards Sendai. The train ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 500 yen. Once at Sendai Station, transfer to the Sendai City Subway (Namboku Line) heading towards Izumi-Chuo. Get off at the Kawauchi Station, which is about a 10-minute ride. From Kawauchi Station, it is a 15-minute walk to the Sendai City Sendai Castle experience Museum located at 1-11 Kawauchi, Aoba Ward. Be sure to check the bus and train schedules in advance to ensure smooth transfers.
