Car
From Zao Onsen, take Route 286 towards Sendai. This scenic drive will take approximately 50 minutes. Follow the signs for Sendai, and as you enter the city, merge onto Route 48. Continue on Route 48 until you reach the Aoba Castle Ruins, which is located at 〒980-0862 Miyagi, Sendai, Aoba Ward, Kawauchi, 1番地. There is parking available near the entrance, but please note that there may be a parking fee.

Public Transportation
From Zao Onsen, take the Zao Onsen bus to Yamagata Station. This journey takes about 30 minutes. At Yamagata Station, transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet train) heading towards Sendai. The train ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once at Sendai Station, take the Sendai City Bus (Line 100 or 101) towards Aoba Castle Ruins. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes, and you will need to get off at the Aoba Castle Ruins stop. A one-way bus fare is approximately 200 yen.
