Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Kolsai Lakes entrance. Head southeast on the road leading to Saty village. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction that leads to Mynzhylky dam. Take the left turn onto the road, which is marked with signs indicating the direction to the dam. Follow this road for about another 5 kilometers until you see the dam on your left side. There is limited parking available near the dam.

Public Transportation
To reach Mynzhylky dam using public transport, first take a minibus or bus from Kolsai Lakes to Saty village. Look for buses marked with 'Saty' at the bus stop near the entrance of Kolsai Lakes. The fare is usually around 300-500 KZT. Once you reach Saty, you can either walk approximately 5 kilometers to the dam or hire a local taxi for about 1000-1500 KZT. If you choose to walk, follow the main road heading southeast from the village until you reach the dam.

Hiking
For those looking for an adventurous route, you can hike from Kolsai Lakes to Mynzhylky dam. This hiking trail is about 20 kilometers long and can take around 6-8 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and enough water. Start at the Kolsai Lakes visitor center and follow the marked hiking paths leading southeast towards Saty village, then continue towards the dam. Maps are available at the visitor center.
