Getting There

  • By Car

    From Samburu National Reserve, take the A2 highway towards Nanyuki. Continue on the A2 until you reach Nanyuki town. From Nanyuki, follow signs towards Mount Kenya National Park which is located about 15 kilometers south of the town. The park entrance is well-marked and there are parking facilities available.

  • By Public Transportation

    From Samburu National Reserve, take a matatu (shared minibus taxi) or bus to Nanyuki town. Once in Nanyuki, you can hire a taxi or boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Mount Kenya National Park. Alternatively, you can ask at the bus station for any direct buses or shuttles that may be going to the park.
