    If you're driving to Washington Canal Park from Annapolis Waterfront, start by heading northwest on West Street toward US-50. Merge onto US-50 W and continue for about 25 miles. Take the exit for I-295 N toward Washington. Continue on I-295 N for about 4 miles, then take the exit toward DC-295 N. Merge onto DC-295 N and continue for approximately 6 miles. Take exit 1B for I-695 W toward Baltimore. After 1.5 miles, take exit 4B for 11th St SE. Keep left at the fork to continue on 11th St SE, then turn right onto M St SE. Washington Canal Park will be on your right at 200 M St SE. There is street parking available nearby.

    To reach Washington Canal Park using public transportation from Annapolis Waterfront, first head to the nearest bus stop at West Street and Main Street. Take the Annapolis Transit bus route 99 to the New Carrollton Metro Station. Once you arrive at New Carrollton, board the Orange Line train toward Vienna. Change trains at L'Enfant Plaza to the Blue Line toward Largo Town Center. Disembark at the Smithsonian Station. From here, it is a 15-minute walk: exit the station and head east on Independence Ave SW toward 7th St SW. Turn left onto 7th St SW, then right onto M St SE. The park will be on your left at 200 M St SE.
