    If you are driving from Seneca Creek State Park, get onto MD-355 S (Frederick Road) from Park Entrance Road. Follow MD-355 S for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with I-270 S. Merge onto I-270 S and continue for about 10 miles. Take the exit for I-495 S towards Richmond, and follow it for about 6 miles. Then take exit 22A to merge onto US-1 S toward Washington. Continue on US-1 S for about 3 miles, then take a slight right onto M St SE. Washington Canal Park will be on your left at 200 M St SE, Washington, DC 20003.

    To reach Washington Canal Park using public transportation, start by taking the Metrobus from the nearest stop to Seneca Creek State Park. Board the bus heading towards the Shady Grove Metro Station. Once you arrive at Shady Grove, transfer to the Red Line of the Washington Metro. Take the train towards Glenmont and ride for 6 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. From there, transfer to the Yellow Line and board the train towards Huntington. After 2 stops, get off at the L'Enfant Plaza station. Exit the station and walk east on D St SW. Turn left onto 7th St SW and continue walking until you reach M St SE. Turn right on M St SE, and Washington Canal Park will be on your right at 200 M St SE, Washington, DC 20003.
