Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head south on the main road towards Bhaktapur. Walk for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bus stop at Nagarkot. Here, you can catch a local bus heading to Kathmandu. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the bus will take you to Kathmandu. The bus ride will take around an hour. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, get off at the Ratna Park bus station.

After arriving at Ratna Park, make your way to the nearest taxi stand or look for a cycle rickshaw. Request to be taken to Museum Marg. The distance from Ratna Park to the National Museum of Nepal is approximately 4 kilometers, which should take about 15-20 minutes by taxi or rickshaw.

Alternatively, you can take a microbus from Ratna Park heading towards Balaju. Inquire from the locals or the bus conductor if they can drop you near the National Museum of Nepal. Once you get off, it’s a short walk to Museum Marg, where the museum is located.
