Getting There

Walking
From Patan Durbar Square, head east towards the main road. Once you reach the road, turn left and continue walking straight. You will pass by various shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Lagankhel. At Lagankhel, take a right turn and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the entrance to the National Museum of Nepal on your left side at Museum Marg.

Rickshaw
Find a rickshaw at Patan Durbar Square and tell the driver you want to go to the National Museum of Nepal at Museum Marg. The drivers are generally familiar with the location. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. You will be dropped off right at the entrance of the museum.

From Patan, you can take a local bus heading towards Kathmandu. Board the bus at any nearby bus stop and inform the conductor that your destination is Museum Marg. After about 20-30 minutes, you will get off at the closest stop to the museum. Walk about 5-10 minutes to reach the entrance. Look for signs indicating the direction to the National Museum.
