From any point within Santa Fe National Forest, head southeast on NM-475 (also known as the Hyde Park Road) until you reach the junction with NM-285. Turn right onto NM-285 South and continue for approximately 20 miles. Then, take the exit for I-40 East towards Albuquerque. Stay on I-40 for about 10 miles, then take exit 175 for NM-14 towards Madrid. Follow NM-14 North for about 15 miles until you reach Sandia Park. Finally, turn left onto Sandia Crest Rd, and Tinkertown Museum will be on your right at 121 Sandia Crest Rd, Sandia Park, NM 87047.
