Car
If you are driving, start from the Aoraki/Mount Cook Village. Head southeast on State Highway 80 (SH80) for approximately 6 kilometers. Look for the Tasman Valley Road on your left. Turn left onto Tasman Valley Road and follow it for about 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the end of the road. From the parking lot, take the well-marked trail that leads to the Tasman Glacier Viewpoint. The hike to the viewpoint is around 30-45 minutes one way, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

Public Transport
To reach Tasman Glacier Viewpoint using public transport, take a bus from Christchurch or Queenstown to Aoraki/Mount Cook Village. Once you arrive in the village, you can either walk to the viewpoint or take a taxi to Tasman Valley Road. If walking, head southeast on SH80 for about 6 kilometers, then turn left onto Tasman Valley Road. Walk along the road for about 3 kilometers to the parking area. From there, follow the trail to the viewpoint. Ensure you have enough time for the hike and check the bus schedule in advance for your return trip.
