If you're traveling by car within Southern Province, start your journey in the town of Huye. From Huye, take the N4 road heading west towards Nyamagabe. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the town of Nyamagabe. Continue on the N4 for another 13 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Nyungwe National Park, which is marked with signs. Follow the signs to Nyungwe Nziza Ecolodge, which is located at Kitabi within the park. The total travel time should be around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start your trip by taking a bus from Huye to Nyamagabe. Buses leave regularly from the central bus station in Huye. The journey to Nyamagabe takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Nyamagabe, you will need to hire a motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'moto') to take you to Nyungwe Nziza Ecolodge. The moto ride will take approximately 30 minutes and costs around RWF 5,000. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your ride.
