The Majestic Third Tower of Montale: A Historical Gem

Getting There

• Walking

  Start in the center of Chiesanuova, at the main square. From there, head northwest on Via della Libertà. As you walk, enjoy the local shops and cafes. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road. Take the path that leads to the left, which will take you up towards the hills. You'll see signs directing you to the Third Tower - Montale as you ascend. Follow the winding path for approximately 15 minutes, and you will arrive at the base of the Third Tower. Take a moment to enjoy the stunning views and explore the area.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bicycle, start at the main square in Chiesanuova. Head northwest on Via della Libertà. After about 1 kilometer, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the left path that leads upwards. This route is suitable for biking and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Follow the signs for the Third Tower - Montale. It should take around 10-15 minutes of cycling to reach the base of the tower. Once there, lock your bike and enjoy the views.

• Hiking

  For a more adventurous route, start at the center of Chiesanuova. Head towards the hills via Via del Monte. This path is a bit steeper but offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside. After about 1.5 kilometers, look for signs that indicate the trail to the Third Tower - Montale. Follow this trail, which will take you through lush greenery. Expect to spend about 30 minutes hiking to reach the tower. Once you arrive, take your time to appreciate the historical significance and the panoramic views.
