Car
From any location in Northern Region, head south towards the town of Kisoro. If you're starting from Gulu, take the A1 road south to Masindi, then the A109 towards Mbarara. From Mbarara, take the A4 road heading towards Kisoro. Once in Kisoro, follow signs towards Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which is approximately 14 kilometers from Kisoro town. The park entrance is located at JJPQ+98G, Nkanda. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for the mountainous terrain as some roads may be rough.

To reach Mgahinga Gorilla National Park using public transport, first head to the nearest bus terminal in Gulu or Masindi and catch a bus heading to Kisoro. The bus ride from either location may take several hours, so be prepared for a long journey. Once in Kisoro, hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) or a local taxi to take you to the park entrance, which is about 14 kilometers away. The cost for the boda-boda ride should be around UGX 10,000-15,000, but it's advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand.
