If you are driving from Hertfordshire, take the M25 motorway and follow signs for Central London. Exit at Junction 16 for the M40, and continue on the M40 towards central London. Follow the A40 (Marylebone Road) into the city center. Once you reach the A3212 (Victoria Embankment), turn left onto the A3212. Continue straight until you reach Westminster Bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right onto Whitehall. Continue on Whitehall until you reach Constitution Hill. The Commonwealth Memorial Gates will be on your left. There are parking facilities nearby, so look for signs for public parking as you approach the area.

To reach the Commonwealth Memorial Gates using public transport, start by taking a train from your nearest station in Hertfordshire to London King's Cross or London St Pancras. From there, take the London Underground (Tube) and switch to the Circle or District line towards Westminster Station. Once you arrive at Westminster Station, exit and head towards the River Thames. Walk towards the Palace of Westminster, then turn left onto Victoria Embankment. Continue walking along the Embankment until you reach Whitehall. Turn right onto Whitehall and follow it until you reach Constitution Hill. The Commonwealth Memorial Gates will be on your left, just past the entrance to Green Park.
