After approximately 10 miles, turn left onto the B8035 towards Fionnphort. Continue on this road for about 8 miles until you reach the village of Fionnphort. From Fionnphort, follow signs to the Abbey of Iona. Stone Head is located just past the Abbey, approximately 1 mile down the coastal path. Make sure to park in the designated car parks in Fionnphort, which may charge a small fee of around £3 for the day.

    For those using public transport, take the local bus service from Tobermory to Fionnphort. The bus runs several times a day, and you can check the local timetable for specific times. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Fionnphort, you will need to walk towards the Abbey of Iona. Stone Head is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop, following the coastal path. Be prepared for some uneven terrain. Ensure you have sufficient time to return to Fionnphort for the bus back to Tobermory.
