Car
If you're driving from Kirkwall, take the A961 road towards the B9056. Follow the A961 for approximately 15 minutes, then turn onto the B9056 road. Continue on the B9056 for about 5 miles until you reach a junction. Turn left onto the Aikerness Road. The Broch of Gurness will be on your right-hand side, just a short distance ahead. There is a parking area available near the site.

From Kirkwall, take the Stagecoach bus service 6 towards Evie. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Get off at the Evie Village stop. From there, it is a 1-mile walk to the Broch of Gurness. Head north on the Aikerness Road, and follow the signs to the broch. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance for return times.
