If you are driving from York, take the A1237 ring road and then follow the A19 north. Continue on the A19 for about 12 miles until you reach the A170 exit towards Thirsk/Scarborough. Take the A170 and follow it for about 4 miles. Then, turn left onto the B1263, which will take you directly to Byland Abbey. The abbey is located at 65, Byland Abbey, York YO61 4BD, and there is a parking area available. Please note that you may need to pay for parking, so keep some change handy.
