Car
From the Visitor Centre in Mount Field National Park, head south towards the Mount Field Road. Continue on Mount Field Road for about 7 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Gordon River Road. Turn left onto Gordon River Road and continue for approximately 3 kilometers. Then, turn right onto Styx Road. Follow Styx Road for about 12 kilometers, and you will arrive at Styx State Forest. Note that the road may be unsealed in some sections, so drive cautiously.

There is no direct public transport to Styx State Forest from Mount Field National Park. However, you can take a bus from the nearest town, which is New Norfolk. First, take a bus to New Norfolk from Hobart, which costs around AUD 5-10. From New Norfolk, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to Styx State Forest, as public transport does not reach this area. The taxi fare may vary, but expect it to be around AUD 50-70 for the trip.
