From the town center of Vila do Maio, head southwest towards the beach. Walk along the sandy shoreline, enjoying the ocean view. After about 20 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for a dirt path leading inland. Follow this path for another 15 minutes until you reach a small hill. Climb this hill to get a better view of the coastline. Continue along the dirt path, and after about 10 minutes, you will reach the base of Farol da Ponta Preta. The lighthouse is located on the rocky outcrop, and you can explore the surrounding area for stunning views of the Atlantic.
