    Getting There

    Walking

    Start from the main square in Vila do Maio, known as Praça da Igreja. Head east towards the main road. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the port. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for another 300 meters. You will see a small café on your right; this is a good spot to take a break if needed. After passing the café, continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the coastline. At the coastline, turn right and follow the path along the beach for approximately 1 km. Keep an eye out for directional signs. Eventually, you will come to a junction where you need to turn left onto a paved road that leads into the town center. Walk straight for about 300 meters, and you will approach the Presidential Palace, which is located on your left.

    Biking

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the main square in Vila do Maio (Praça da Igreja). Head east on the main road for about 500 meters. When you reach the intersection with the port road, turn left and cycle straight for about 300 meters until you see the coastline. Once you reach the beach, take a right and follow the coastal path for about 1 km. After the beach path, turn left onto the paved road leading into the town center. Continue biking straight for approximately 300 meters, and the Presidential Palace will be on your left.
