Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Kumamoto City and take the Kyushu Expressway (Kyushu Sōdō) towards Aso. Exit at the Aso Interchange. Follow Route 57 towards Aso city, and then turn onto Route 325. Continue on this road until you reach the visitor center for Mount Aso Nakadake. There is parking available near the crater, but please note that there may be a parking fee of around 500 yen.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a train from Kumamoto Station to Aso Station via the Hohi Line. The journey takes around 1 hour. From Aso Station, take the Aso Milk Farm bus (approximately 30 minutes) towards the Nakadake Crater. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.
