    From Kumamoto City, take the Kyushu Expressway (E3) towards Aso. Exit at Aso Interchange and follow Route 57 towards Aso. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Aso Nakadake Crater area. Follow signs to Kurokawa, Aso 869-2225. There is a parking area near the crater site, which may incur a parking fee of approximately 500 yen.

    Take the JR Hōhi Line from Kumamoto Station to Aso Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once at Aso Station, transfer to a local bus bound for Aso Nakadake Crater. Buses are available approximately every 30 minutes. The bus ride takes around 30 minutes to reach the crater area. A one-way bus fare is approximately 1,000 yen.
