After approximately 30 minutes, look for signs directing you to Nakadake No.1 Crater. There is an entrance fee of 1000 yen to drive up and park at the top. The parking area is located close to the crater, offering easy access to the walking paths.

For those using public transportation, start at Kumamoto Station and take the JR Hohi Line to Aso Station. The journey takes about 40 minutes. From Aso Station, you can catch a local bus towards the Aso volcano area. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as the frequency may vary. Get off at the 'Nakadake' stop. From there, it is a short walk to the crater tour route. Be aware that the bus fare from Aso Station to Nakadake is approximately 600 yen.
