If you are traveling by car from central Hiroshima, take Route 2 (Nishi-Hiroshima) and follow signs to the ferry terminal at Miyajimaguchi. The drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Miyajimaguchi, park at one of the designated parking lots (cost is around 500-1000 JPY for a day). From the parking area, walk to the ferry terminal which is about a 5-minute walk. Take the ferry to Miyajima Island, which costs around 1800 JPY for a round trip. The ferry ride will take about 10 minutes. Upon arriving at Miyajima, follow the signs to Itsukushima Jinja, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

To reach Itsukushima Jinja using public transportation, start by taking the JR Sanyo Line from Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around 400 JPY. Once you arrive at Miyajimaguchi Station, follow the signs to the ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. Purchase a ferry ticket for Miyajima Island, costing approximately 1800 JPY for a round trip. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes.
