Getting There

    If you're driving, head towards Hatsukaichi City. From central Hiroshima, take Route 2 towards Miyajima. Follow the signs for Miyajima and then look for Route 186. Continue on Route 186 until you reach the intersection with Route 3, where you will turn left. Follow Route 3 until you see signs for Daigan-ji. The temple is located at 3 Miyajimacho, Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima 739-0588. There is parking available near the temple.

  • Public Transportation - Train and Ferry

    Start your journey from Hiroshima Station. Take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Miyajimaguchi Station, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Miyajima Island (about a 10-minute ride). After reaching Miyajima, you can either walk or take a short bus ride to Daigan-ji, which is around 2 kilometers from the ferry terminal. You may need to pay a ferry fare of about 180 yen one way.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Hiroshima Station, take a bus bound for Miyajima. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the Miyajima bus stop. From there, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Miyajima Island. Once on the island, Daigan-ji is about a 30-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Note that the bus fare is around 600 yen one way, and the ferry fare is about 180 yen.
