    If you're driving from the center of Hitachi, take Route 6 heading towards Ibaraki. Follow the signs to the Joban Expressway and merge onto it. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Ishioka Interchange. From there, continue on Route 50 until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Turn left onto Route 6 and follow it for about 10 kilometers until you reach Sumida City. Look for signs directing you to Hyotan Pond. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that fees may apply.
