If you're traveling by car from the center of Izumi, head south on Route 3 towards Hitoyoshi. The drive will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Hitoyoshi, look for signs directing you to Shimoshinmachi. Turn onto Shimoshinmachi Street and continue for about 1.5 kilometers. The Kumagawa-kudari boat tour office is located at 333-1 Shimoshinmachi, Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto 868-0033. There is parking available near the boat dock.

From Izumi Station, take the JR Hohi Line towards Kumamoto. You will need to transfer at Hitoyoshi Station, which is about a 1-hour journey. Once you arrive at Hitoyoshi Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal. Take a local bus heading to Shimoshinmachi. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes and drop you off near the Kumagawa-kudari boat tour office at 333-1 Shimoshinmachi.
