If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Kagoshima City. Use the route 3 (Kagoshima Loop Road) and head towards Shiroyamacho. Once you arrive at the address 7 Shiroyamacho, Kagoshima, 892-0853, you will find parking available nearby. Look for signs directing you to Tsurumaru Castle, which is a short walk from the parking area.

Public Transportation - Bus
From Kagoshima Chuo Station, take the city bus number 1 or 2, heading towards Shiroyamacho. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Shiroyamacho stop. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to the Main Gate of Tsurumaru Castle. You will see signs guiding you to the castle entrance.

Public Transportation - Tram
You can also take the tram from Kagoshima Chuo Station. Board the tram on the Kagoshima City tram line (green line) towards the Kagoshima Ekimae direction. Get off at the Shiroyama Park stop, which is about a 10-minute ride. From the tram stop, follow the signs to Tsurumaru Castle, which will take about 10 minutes on foot.
