Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Tokyo, take the Tohoku Expressway (E4) towards Utsunomiya. Exit at Utsunomiya and take Route 119 towards Nikko. Continue on Route 119, which will lead you directly into Nikko. Once in Nikko, follow signs to Kanmangafuchi Abyss, which is located near Jiunji Hondo Temple. Parking is available near the temple, with no specific fee, but ensure to check local signage for any parking restrictions.

    From Tokyo Station, take the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Utsunomiya Station. This journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Upon arriving at Nikko Station, exit the station and walk to the bus terminal adjacent to the station. Take bus number 2 (Nikko City Line) towards Kanmangafuchi (a 10-minute ride).
