    From central Kyoto, take Route 1 towards Otsu. After approximately 30 minutes, follow signs for Lake Biwa and Otsu. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the Yanagasaki area. Turn onto Yanagasaki Street, and you will find Biwako Ōtsu-kan at the address 5-35 Yanagasaki, Otsu, Shiga 520-0022. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that fees may apply.

    From Kyoto Station, board the JR Biwako Line (also known as the JR Kosei Line) towards Otsu. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Disembark at Otsu Station. From there, take a taxi to Biwako Ōtsu-kan, which is approximately a 10-minute ride. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Otsu Station; look for buses heading towards Yanagasaki and get off at the Yanagasaki stop, which is a short walk from the destination.
