Car
If you are driving from central Kyoto, take the Sanjo Street (Sanjo-dori) heading west. Follow Sanjo-dori until you reach the intersection with Horikawa-dori. Turn left onto Horikawa-dori and continue straight. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Honeyacho. 弘庵はなれ (Koan Hanare Kyoto) will be on your left at 150-2 Honeyacho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8164. Be aware that parking may be limited in the area, so plan accordingly.

Public Transportation
From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway to Kokusaikaikan Station. Transfer to the Tozai Line and head towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa Station. Get off at Nijo Station. From Nijo Station, you can take a taxi directly to 弘庵はなれ (Koan Hanare Kyoto), which is approximately a 10-minute ride away. Alternatively, you can walk; head east on Nijo-dori, then turn left onto Horikawa-dori and continue until you reach Honeyacho. The total travel time is approximately 40 minutes, including transfer times.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near Kyoto Station. Head west on Sanjo-dori and follow the same route as by car. The cycling distance is about 4 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your speed. There are bike lanes along most of the route.
