If you are traveling by car, head towards Nakagyo Ward in Kyoto. From the city center, take the Marutamachi Street and continue on to Karasuma Street. Follow signs for Route 1 towards Nakagyo Ward. Public Transportation - Train and Walk
To reach the museum via public transportation, first take the JR Kyoto Line to Kyoto Station. From there, transfer to the Karasuma Line and get off at Shijo Station. Exit the station and walk towards Karasuma Street. Continue walking straight until you reach Dongein Maecho. The museum is located at 706-3 Dongein Maecho, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the station. Please note that the train fare from Kyoto Station to Shijo Station is around 210 yen.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer taking a bus, board any bus that heads towards Nakagyo Ward from the city center. You can take buses 17, 26, or 205 and alight at the 'Nijojo-mae' stop. From there, the museum is about a 10-minute walk. Head south on Karasuma Street towards Dongein Maecho. Please check the bus schedule as bus frequencies may vary, and a one-way fare is usually around 230 yen.
