For those using public transportation, take the Kyoto City Bus from your location in Kyoto countryside. You can board the bus at the nearest bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards 'Okazaki Seishojicho'. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the 'Okazaki Seishojicho' bus stop, and from there, it is a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the Kyoto Museum of Crafts and Design located at 9-1 B1F in the Miyakomesse building. Bus fares vary but expect to pay around ¥230.

Another option is to take the train. If you are near a train station, board the Kyoto Line and head towards Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station, transfer to the Tozai Line and get off at the Higashiyama Station. Once at Higashiyama Station, exit and take a bus or walk to the museum. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes. The museum is located at 9-1 B1F in the Miyakomesse building. The total train fare from Kyoto Station to Higashiyama Station is around ¥200.
