Car
If you are driving, you can use the following directions to reach Uji City Botanical Park. From Kyoto City, take the Keihan Uji Line towards Uji. After approximately 30 minutes, exit onto the Uji Bypass (Route 1) and follow the signs towards Uji. Take Route 307 and continue until you reach Hachikenyadani, where the park is located at Hachikenyadani-25-1 Hironocho, Uji, Kyoto 611-0031. Parking is available at the park, but note that there may be a small fee for parking.

To reach Uji City Botanical Park via public transportation, start by taking the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station to Uji Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit and look for the Keihan Bus Terminal located nearby. Take the bus heading towards Hachikenyadani; the bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Hachikenyadani' bus stop, which is right outside the park entrance. The park is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and there is no entrance fee.

Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, renting a bicycle in Kyoto is a great way to reach Uji City Botanical Park. You can cycle along the scenic roads leading from Kyoto to Uji, which is approximately 12 km away. The route is mostly flat and takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once in Uji, follow local signs to Hachikenyadani-25-1 Hironocho, where the park is located. There are bike racks available for parking your bike at the entrance of the park.
