Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-in Line towards Saga-Arashiyama. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk toward the main road, Saga-Tenryuji. Head west and follow the signs to Tenryu-ji Temple, which is a well-known landmark. After approximately a 10-minute walk, you will reach Tenryu-ji Temple. From there, continue walking north on Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho street for about 5 minutes until you arrive at Rinsen-ji Temple, located at 33 Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho.

    From Kyoto Station, head to the bus terminal and take bus number 28 or 93 towards Saga-Arashiyama. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho' bus stop. After disembarking, walk north on Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho street for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Rinsen-ji Temple at 33 Sagatenryuji Tsukurimichicho.
