Getting There

  • Bus

    If you are near Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #100 or #206. These buses are frequent and will take you directly to Gion. Get off at the stop called 'Gion'. Once you disembark, walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will find Matsubaradori Street on your right. Continue walking along Matsubaradori, and then turn right on Yamato-oji Street. The Gion Maiko-ya is located at 100 Rokurocho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto.

  • Subway

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway heading north and get off at 'Kawaramachi Station'. Take Exit 1 and walk east towards the Kamo River. Cross the river using the Shijo Bridge. Once you reach the other side, turn left and walk along the river until you reach the intersection with Matsubaradori Street. Turn right on Matsubaradori, then turn right again on Yamato-oji Street. Gion Maiko-ya will be located on your right at 100 Rokurocho.

    If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Kyoto. Simply tell the driver 'Gion Maiko-ya' or provide the address: Matsubaradori, Yamato-oji, Higashi-iru, 100 Rokurocho, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, 605-0813. The taxi will take you directly to the location.
