    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Nijo Station, which is about 5 stops from Kyoto Station. Once you exit the station, take the West Exit and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will see Nijō Castle on your left.

    From Kyoto Station, you can also take bus number 9 or 50. Board the bus at the bus terminal in front of the station. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Nijōjō-mae' bus stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the castle entrance.

    If you are staying in the downtown area of Kyoto, you can walk to Nijō Castle. Depending on your location, it may take around 20-30 minutes. Head towards the north-west, and follow the signs to Nijō Castle. The address is 〒604-8301 Kyoto, Nakagyo Ward, Nijojocho, 541番地.
