Getting There

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Biwako Line (also known as the JR Kosei Line) towards Otsu. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Otsu Station. Once you exit Otsu Station, head towards the main exit. Turn left and walk towards the bus terminal. Here, you can catch a bus to Omi Jingu.

  • Bus

    Once you are at Otsu Station, look for the bus stop for the Otsu City Bus (Bus No. 20 or 21) that goes to Omi Jingu. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Omi Jingu-mae stop, which is right in front of the shrine.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from Otsu Station to Omi Jingu, you can follow these steps: Exit Otsu Station and head northwest towards the main road (Route 1). Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers (approximately 20 minutes). You will see the entrance to Omi Jingu on your right side. Look for the large torii gate marking the entrance.
