Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main entrance of Fushimi Inari Taisha, head towards the first set of torii gates. Once you reach the gates, follow the path as it splits. Take the right fork, which leads you down towards the area of Fukakusa Mukaigaharacho. Continue walking straight. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for Ōiwa-jinja Shrine on your left at 89-2 Fukakusa Mukaigaharacho. The shrine is located about 800 meters from the main entrance of Fushimi Inari.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    If you prefer not to walk, you can take a bus from Fushimi Inari Station. Head to the bus stop located near the station and board the Kyoto City Bus (Bus number 83 or 88). It takes about 5 minutes to reach the Fukakusa Mukaigaharacho stop. From there, it is a short 3-minute walk to Ōiwa-jinja Shrine. Make sure to have some yen ready for the bus fare, which is around 210 JPY.
