Car
If you are traveling by car, take the Nishi-Meihan Expressway and exit at Ikoma IC. After exiting, follow the signs toward Ikoma city center. Continue on Route 168 and then take a left onto Route 4. Follow the road until you reach Hozan-ji Temple, located at 1-1 Monzencho, Ikoma, Nara 630-0266. There is parking available near the temple, but be prepared for a small parking fee of approximately 500 yen.

Train
For those using public transportation, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Nara Station to Ikoma Station. The ride takes about 30 minutes. From Ikoma Station, transfer to the Kintetsu Ikoma Cable Line and take the cable car to Hozanji Station. The cable car ride offers scenic views and costs around 500 yen one way. After arriving at Hozanji Station, it's a short 10-minute walk to Hozan-ji Temple. Follow the signs leading to the temple along the path, which can be steep in some areas.

Alternatively, if you prefer buses, take the bus from Nara Station to Ikoma. You can catch the bus near the East Exit of Nara Station. Check the bus schedule as it may not run frequently. Once you arrive in Ikoma, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a taxi to Hozan-ji Temple. The taxi fare from Ikoma city center to the temple is approximately 1,200 yen.
