Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the central area of Omi. Head northwest on Route 19, and continue driving for about 20 minutes. Follow the signs for Matsushiro and take exit 32 toward Matsushiro. Once you enter Matsushiro, look for local signs directing you to Matsushiro Castle Ruins, which is located at 18-2 Matsushiromachi Matsushiro, Nagano, 381-1231. Parking is available nearby, and be aware that parking fees might apply.

Public Transportation
To reach Matsushiro Castle Ruins via public transportation, start at Omi Station. Take a local train on the Nagano Line toward Nagano Station. After about 25 minutes, get off at Nagano Station. From there, transfer to a bus heading to Matsushiro. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Matsushiro Castle stop, which is a short walk from the ruins (follow the signs). The total cost for the train and bus will be around 1,000 yen.

For those feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Omi and cycle to Matsushiro Castle Ruins. The ride will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Head northwest on Route 19, following the same route as cars, but enjoy the scenic ride. Be cautious when cycling on the roads and wear a helmet for safety.
