    If you're driving from central Shinano, take National Route 18 north towards Nagano City. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach the junction with National Route 403. Keep left and continue on Route 403 for 5 more minutes until you see signs for Zenkōji Temple. Follow the signs, and you'll arrive at the Niōmon Gate, which is the main entrance to the Zenkōji Temple complex. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be a small fee (around 500 yen for a few hours).

    To reach Niōmon Gate via public transportation, start by taking the Shinano Railway from Shinano Station to Nagano Station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 600 yen. Once you arrive at Nagano Station, exit and look for the bus terminal. Take the Nagano City Loop Bus (the Green Line) heading towards Zenkōji Temple. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes and costs 200 yen. Get off at the Zenkōji Temple stop. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the Niōmon Gate.
