Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, head towards Kyoto using the Meishin Expressway. Take the exit towards Kyoto and follow Route 1 towards Higashiyama Ward. Once you're in the area, look for signs to Kodaiji Temple. You will find parking options nearby. Please note that parking fees may apply.

  • Public Transportation (Train)

    From Settsu, you can take the JR train to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Line and head towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station. From there, take bus number 100 or 206 to Kodaiji Temple. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. There is a small fee for the bus, usually around 230 yen.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    Alternatively, you can catch a direct bus from Settsu to Kyoto. Look for express buses that run from Settsu to Kyoto Station. Once at Kyoto Station, follow the previous instructions for transferring to the bus to Kodaiji Temple. This option may take slightly longer due to traffic.
