If you are traveling by car from central Shinano, head northeast on Route 18. Follow the road for approximately 25 km until you reach the town of Tokamachi. Once in Tokamachi, follow the signs for Hoshitouge, which will lead you to Toge. After reaching Toge, look for the signs directing you to the Hoshitouge Terraced Rice Field. There is parking available near the site, but be sure to arrive early during peak seasons as spaces can fill up quickly.

Public Transportation
To reach Hoshitouge Terraced Rice Field using public transportation, take a train from Shinano Station to Tokamachi Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Tokamachi Station, you can take a local bus (Kosudo Line) that heads to Toge. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. Once you arrive at the Toge bus stop, follow the signs to the Hoshitouge Terraced Rice Field, which is about a 15-minute walk from the stop.

If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling with a group, you can take a taxi from Tokamachi Station to Hoshitouge Terraced Rice Field. The taxi ride takes about 20 minutes.
