As you near Yamanouchi, follow the signs to 'Jigokudani' which will lead you to Hirao. The fountain is located at 6818 Hirao, Yamanochi, Shimotakai District, Nagano 381-0401. There is parking available nearby.

Start at the nearest train station in Shinano, which is the Matsushiro Station. Take the Nagano Electric Railway to Yamanouchi Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
